Late Sunday afternoon lunch today in the bar. Cosy with open fire and still nicely busy at 3.30pm. Friendly, prompt service, linen napkins and excellent good quality bread and butter a bonus. Duck and blackberry and celeriac; sausage, potato, poached egg and salad starters really very good; roast beef; confit of lamb with all the trimmings the best we’ve had in ages. The chocolate mousse was also excellent. The perfect Sunday afternoon. We will be returning- thank you!
